Welcome to Waxwing Wines

We use traditional methods to craft limited-production Pinot Noir and
Syrah from the Sonoma Coast and Santa Cruz Mountain appellations.  Our
winemaker and proprietor, Scott Sisemore, brings his drive, experience,
and deep knowledge of red wine production to shape the wines from
grape harvest to bottling.

Waxwing News & Reviews

  • Harvest is in full swing at our Belmont winery.  We've already
    brought in nearly 10 tons of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and Syrah as
    well as Pinot from the Santa Cruz Mtns, Riesling from the Santa
    Lucia Highlands and Pinot for rosé from the Arroyo Seco AVA.

  • May, 2014: SF Chronicle wine editor, Jon Bonné, takes a look at
    Rosé.  Here's what he has to say about the Waxwing "Spring Hill
    Vineyard" Pinot Noir Rosé:  "From Karen and Chris London's site just
    west of Petaluma, this is versatile as can be, with a mint-leaf
    freshness, peach skin and bright raspberry. A lot of stuffing for a

  • The 2012 Waxwing Lester Family Vineyard Pinot Noir, Santa Cruz
    Mts, was reviewed by the Prince of Pinot.  He gave the wine 94

  • Our 2012 "Spring Hill Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir was
    reviewed in the PinotReport (93 pts):  Medium ruby color; rich, ripe
    herbal cherry aromas; deep, bright, red cherry flavors with forest
    floor notes; good structure and balance; long finish. Deep, earthy,
    rich Pinot that is drinking well now.
