Here's what he has to say about the Waxwing Spring Hill Vineyard Pinot: "Scott Sisemore tapped into the precipitous ripening potential found west of Petaluma, in the area's wind gap, for this effort from the Spring Hill Vineyard. A slight use of whole clusters comes through in a spicy aspect of black peppercorn and sage that's matched by plush, straightforward fruit flavors." Find the full article here.
Our 2012 "Spring Hill Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir was reviewed in the PinotReport (93 pts): Medium ruby color; rich, ripe herbal cherry aromas; deep, bright, red cherry flavors with forest floor notes; good structure and balance; long finish. Deep, earthy, rich Pinot that is drinking well now.
